PSALM 34:17-19, ISAIAH 40:29-31
MEMORY VERSE: PSALM 34:18
Challenges in life can wear people down and make them feel worthless, hopeless and tormented. The story of Paul in the book of 2 Corinthians is a perfect example of weariness.
Paul lamented to God about the thorn and wanted it removed from him immediately, but God answered him that His Grace was sufficient enough to carry him through.
2 Corinthians 2:9 But he said to me " My Grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
The experience taught Paul some profound lessons in life especially on their relationship with God. He learned to fully depend on God during adversity.
Grace for the weary is the divine help only God can give to his people. In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus encourages those who are weary and heavily burdened he will give them rest.
At your weakest as a Christian we are reminded to totally surrender to God, and he will carry our burdens.
Patience is very key in trusting God to come through at our weakest moment. Isaiah 40: 31 But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
Brethren God restores and renews we only need to totally surrender to God for there's no other way.
