1 PETER 3:8-9, MATHEW 9:35-38
Serving God demands that you align your purpose with God - Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord is God, it is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
As Christians we need to serve God with all our heart, mind and soul. As we grow in faith and trust in the Lord it would be prudent that we seek God’s face through prayer, fasting and meditation to enable one to serve without complaining because in the presence of the Lord is wisdom, knowledge and understanding that empowers one to serve diligently and abundantly. Spiritual alignment enables one to concentrate on matters that please God than pleasing men. Spiritual alignment is a process that brings you joy, love, peace and fulfilment even as you serve the people of God. We need therefore to build very solid foundations that honour God above all else, Jesus came on earth and is a perfect example of servant leadership Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. We need to ask ourselves very pertinent questions “Why are you called to serve?” As earlier mentioned, foundations are key components that help us and guide us in service for God. The foundations include: 1. Worship 2. Fellowship 3. Discipleship 4. Evangelism Service for God is a divine honour that not everyone gets the opportunity to serve and have an impact that pleases God above all else. Romans 1: 1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God. This is evident that God recognises your obedience in serving Him and rewards those who accept the call and serve in humility God’s people. God rewards those who serve diligently and abundantly. The major focus should to be about God and His expectations in our service for Him only then will be able to impact the people we serve positively, and that enhances growth in the Church.
