Dear Beloved,
We continue praying for our nation following the just concluded general elections 2017. The decision  and the disputes ought therefore to put in perspective.
We must however note that we all have varied experiences of this significant processes of our civic participation in our governance as citizens. Election in principle is mediation process by which different positions are determined. The scriptures correctly note..
To cast lots puts an end to disputes and decides between powerful contenders"-Proverbs18.18 Indeed the end of the electoral process produces  celebration of the outcome whereas some are disappointed and disheartened by the less than satisfactory outcomes of their hopes.

Scripture appreciates this reality in this verse. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life". -Proverbs 13.12 We are therefore called upon to demonstrate spiritual maturity ,mental sobriety and social magnanimity  (goodwill and unifying )by reaching out to each other in good faith and due consideration. Those favoured by the lot should celebrate with magnanimity whereas those not favoured by the lot at this time should concede with grace.

This healing and reconciliation ministry threshold is indeed higher for Christians as bearers of the good news (gospel ). Apostle Paul admonishes thus in moments of such demands that.  "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ” (Philippians 1:27).

Today's theme of believing and living for your destiny beffitingly calls us out to authentic godly living. As heroes of Faith categorized in Hebrews 11 we are called upon to rise to the occasion in view of God and indeed society.  The scripture states '..For by it the elders obtained a good report. .:Vs 3.
We must equally receive a good report as we LIVE what we BELIEVE concerning our individual and collective destiny in God.

In our desire and demand to advance we and those we influence must be resolute in our belief in the high standards to which God has called us.In this sense we do well in considering Joshua'a model statement pf faith as follows. "But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."Joshua 24.15

We must therefore learn to individually make a resolution to be model believers in view of God.

God Bless You and God Bless Kenya!
