Dear Beloved,
This month we have explored the theme Understanding God's calling as part of our continued activation to BREAK CAMP AND ADVANCE in accordance with our theme this Year. Today we reflect on the theme DISCHARGING YOUR CHRISTIAN DUTY

Being part of the body of Christ implicitly means you are part of the ministry of the body of Christ. When you play your significant part as your privileged duty it has a cumulative effect on Church. Ephesians 4.states “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Evidently every believer has a duty and a responsibility for the overall outcome and functioning of the body of Christ.

We note therefore that discharging your Christians duty achieves three broad things:
1. Glorify God in appreciation of His divine endowments and blessings upon your life. “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9

2. Good of Mankind in association with them in the daily life situations for justice and good governance for mutual good. Christians represent God in society. “God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the “gods” How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked”- Psalm 82:1-5

3. Grow in appropriation of divine grace and mercy upon you to enhance your fulfillment of your personal purpose of life-to worship God as well as your purposes in life-work of your hands.
“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.”- Psalm 150:6 Jesus declared, '“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your 'mind.- Matthew 22:37

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”- Ecclesiastes 9:10
In view of this we as your pastoral team wish to enlist your partnership in our corporate discharge of our individual and collective calling as the body of Christ for God's Glory, Man's Good and Growth in Grace.
